Welcome! We are a global community dedicated to practicing our motto, “Let Love Lead”. We adhere to the belief that Divine Love connected us with our uniquely special Chow Chow. The ancient wisdom inherent in each of them gives us the opportunity to learn from them ways we can be better people.
The creation of our Chow Chow Tales website is to have a place of our very own, to share stories, experiences and resources that align with our purpose, to inspire better relationships with our Chow Chows, and to support each other in making the world a better place for all creatures who live here.
We extend a special invitation to our Facebook and Instagram followers, and YouTube channel subscribers to join us here.

🌈💜It’s a very special SUPER SHANDY SUNDAY as we commemorate Shandy’s third year at the Rainbow Bridge, along with many of your beloved Chow Chows that have crossed over as well.
💜
Thank you to all of you who sent me photos to include. We honor these precious ones, as well as so many more. It was a privilege for me to share some time with these beautiful souls as I made this.
💜
Creating this video was emotional. I cried every time I ran through it for editing. I was most touched by feeling all the love. Just so much love is represented here by these magnificent Chow Chow souls we got to share life with. Every single one of them is precious.
💜
It is with great honor that I share this video with you.
I will definitely do this every year on Shandy’s anniversary.
My heartfelt condolences to all those who have had to say, “Good-bye for now” to their beloved Chow Chow friend.
Together, we can send love to each and every one, here in the video, and all the others too.
“Let Love Lead” ~ Joy

Meet Joy Taylin, creator of Chow Chow Tales on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, and owner of The Shandy Shoppe on Etsy, all inspired by a little rescue Chow Chow named Shandy and Joy’s happy Chow-girl, Koa Bear.
Joy got Koa as a puppy and they enjoyed an easy, fun three years together before their lives took an unexpected turn.
Then came Shandy.
A kill shelter. A chance meeting. A fairy tale ending. Joy and Shandy were two parts of one soul who found each other. Together, they faced their fears. Shandy’s special needs presented an opportunity for Joy to gain a profound understanding of the transformative power of unconditional love. With Joy’s persistent commitment combined with Koa’s good nature, they helped Shandy trust again.
Joy combines her spiritual approach to life, love of nature, and her passion for Chow Chows into stories and photography to inspire more meaningful relationships with animals and the world around us.
